Creating Shared Value
Creating Shared Value (CSV) is a fundamental part of the Nestlé way of doing business.CSV focuses upon creating value for society and shareholders.
Already Nestlé Health Science provides nutritional solutions that promote the dietary management of disease that lead to improved outcomes and enhanced quality of life. Nestlé Health Science is also committed to helping reduce health care costs. Going forward, we aim to develop science-based nutritional therapies that help change the course of health management.
The Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences – which, like Nestlé Health Science, was launched in January 2011 – is the research partner in the pioneering quest of Nestlé Health Science. The Institute provides the scientific basis for nutritional approaches that help change the course of health.
To create the scientific basis for the health science nutrition of the future, the scientists of the Institute are conducting fundamental research in integrated systems biology. Using bioinformatics for data integration and pathway modeling, this research approach enables the combination of an unlimited range of scientific data from genomics and clinical studies in order to gain new insight into the underlying mechanisms of health and disease.
